Women Engineers Pakistan
Pakistan women, through their hard work and commitment, have shown that they are more talented than men. But in Software Industry the results are totally opposite. In this Industry men have proved to be more successful,intelligent and smart as compared to women. One of the woman engineer Pakistan Bushra Zahid who is currently working as a System Analyst & Quality Review Engineer at ZAFlogix Pvt Ltd. She enlightened by saying,"The ratio of successful Pakistan women is more than that of the unsuccessful women in Software Industry, because nowadays women are more concerned about to their work. They are confident, intelligent and hardworking. Good management skills are a part of their nature. But due socio-cultural factors, they have been restrained as far as their mobility and communication is concerned. They face problems due to their limited resources and limited accessibility."
Describing Intelligence in this respect, a Software Woman Engineer of Pakistan said that,"A solid working knowledge of the programming language being used and long time life planning is required, only then a particular individual will be considered as 'Smart and Intelligent' as a Software Engineer. My experience from last 8-10 years in this field makes me believe that an individual should have a 'spark' in him/her so that they can learn new things quickly.
A Software Engineer can easily learn new technology if they have a strong grip on existing technology. Researchers (Bloom (1985), Bryan & Harter (1899), Hayes (1989), Simmon & Chase (1973)) have shown it takes about ten years to develop expertise in any of a wide variety of areas. So in order to have a good grip on SE you have to put yourself in bars for at least ten years. Afterwards you can come up with a vibrant personality in your field. Due to our social norms females are not permitted to plan their lives."
Universities of Pakistan are offering all types of engineering courses e.g.; Electrical engineering, Telecom Engineering, Software engineering, Analytical Engineering etc Women are equality encouraged to take admission and getting jobs in market.Nowadays women engineers of Pakistan are working in big industries and telecommunication sectors where they are free to come up with men society and working at same level with men.
